Note: Elmer was born Clemons Christopher Roehl. At the time of his baptism, Elmer's mother was still in the hospital from his birth. Elmer's father and grandfather were given instrustion by his mother to have him baptised Elmer. His grandfather wanted to name the baby after himself so he went against the mother's instruction and had the baby baptised Clemons Christopher. He was always called Elmer. Later he changed his name to what his mother had wanted, Elmer. He claims the his middle name "C" never stood for anything but we assume it represents Clemons Christopher.

Note

When Elmer's mother was in the hospital after giving birth to him, Elmer's grandmother (his mother's inlaw) had him baptized as Christopher Clemens because she wanted him to have that name. When Elmer's mother found out, she was really mad. Christopher's name was eventually changed back to Elmer.
